Description

I already mentioned it several times and now I'll put this threat into practice: I'll join this year's main tournament as well! :evillaugh:

SO HERE SOME CHARACTER INFO:

:wizardhat:ABOUT KARUMI

:bulletpurple:Name: Karumi Meinert (or Karu-chan)

:bulletblack:Backstory: Karumi was born and bred in Lavender Town. Her mother and faster were living together there and while her mother was working at the Pokemon-tower, her father was a psychic trainer who dreamed about leaving town and becoming a better and greater trainer. When Karumi was 7 years old, her father left the family behind and started a Pokemon journey. After that, Karumi's mother was strictly against Pokemon battles. At the age of 8, Karumi's mother died in a mysterious accident at the Pokemon Tower and Karumi was all alone and because she inherited her father's psychic abilities, she was called "strange" and sometimes even "cursed" in town because. That was when Karumi decided it was time to leave town and to find her own way and her journey began.
She already travelled through every known country and collected any Pokemon that was of her interest. While travelling and thanks to her dead mother's job in the Pokemon tower, her interest in Ghost Pokemon started growing. Since she already started to train Pokemon when she was 7 years old and became a trainer when she turned 8, she already is a real Veteran despite she doesn't look like it. One day, while travelling through the countries, she met Rhea [link] in Ecruteak city. Rhea had just moved to the town and had the strange opinion of being an alien, which was the reason for Karumi to approach her - she probably felt reminded of herself or it was another reason, you can never know - and the two became friends. Rhea had just started to train Pokemon so Karumi (being one year older) assisted her and they travelled through Johto.
After that, their paths split. But when Rhea joined the Ultimate Battle Frontier, Karumi decided to support her and became some kind of helper in the past year's tournament.
Now Karumi decided to join UBF as well and brought some of her newest Pokemon she caught in Unova. They aren't her strongest Pokemon but Karumi is positive about their abilities and hopes to make progress in her Pokemon training by joining this year's tournament.

:bulletpurple:Personality: Karumi is a very difficult person. If you approach her and talk to her, she usually will be friendly and gladly chatter with you. The more you talk to her and the closer you become, though, you will notice that she keeps on saying strange, maybe even gross and distracting things. Karumi likes to scare people and secretly always enjoyed the special treatment she got in her home town, so she developed this weird flaw of spreading some nightmare fuel.

:bulletblack:Abilities:
- Most remarkable are most probably her psychic abilities. This includes not even making things afloat but also partly mind reading (means that you shouldn't think about one thing too hard or she'll know; this oddly also doesn't work with every person) and boosting other person's or Pokemon's abilities (as seen in Rhea's UBF2010 Round8). It's said that she is capable of even more tricks but she didn't want to tell me about that yet.
- Moreover, Karumi always liked to sew. That is why she's sewing all her clothes on her own, allowing her to wear almost everything, no matter how strange it is. She has a little fetish when it comes to hats - the bigger, the better. She also sewed Rhea's Absol bag.
- Last but not least, her father's native language was German while her mother was born in Japan and the rest of the world was talking English. So she is used to speak english but sometimes uses German or even Japanese words while talking.
- Her physical state in contrast to her psychic abilities, however, is really poor. She is really thin, has a fragile appearance and beither possesses great strength nor endurance.

:bulletpurple:In battle: Despite her young age, she is a real veteran when it comes to Pokemon battles. She likes to control the battlefield completely and usually will do so - if you let her. The most enjoybale victories for her are when she can crush her enemy completely and she does not care about making victims, pain or torturing. While her "old" Pokemon are used to her sometimes really harsh battle style, her "new" (Unova) Pokemon probably might have some problems to deal with it.

:bulletblack:In her bag: Except the usual stuff you carry around because of the sheer fact of being a trainer (including a Pokedex; it's still unknown where she got it from, by the way), she always carries around a sketchbook and a pencil for sketching and working out new designs for her next clothes and, of course, stuff for sewing.

:wizardhat:ABOUT HER POKEMON

:bulletblack:Mogami (Banette):
Meaning of Nickname: "Mogami" is a part of the word "Tsukumogami" which (roughly) describes a very old object coming to life.
Probably the strongest and cruelest Pokemon Karumi accopmanies. Mogami likes - just like Karumi - to not even win a battle but to completely destroy the opponent - and with this, to torture it. It's favorite move is Curse, by the way.
Outside battle, it usually floats around Karumi in invisible state. It likes to appear out of nowhere and scare people by doing so. It especially likes to appear directly in front of a persons face staring at him/her. It's also very rare to see Mogami showing expressions except her usual insane smile.

:bulletblue:Yuki (Froslass):
Meaning of Nickname: Beside the fact that Yuki means "Snow", it's a reference to the Yuki Onna, the Snow Woman, which Froslass is based upon.
Yuki is the kind-hearted part of the team. It is a bit naive and narow-minded. Despite this, she blindly follows Karumi's orders and wouldn't hesitate to put her commands into practice. Yuki respects and trusts her trainer blindly ever since she was a Snorunt. Karumi received her through trading.

:bulletpurple:Irrlicht (Chandelure):
Meaning of Nickname: Irrlicht is the German word for "Will-o-Wisp".
Chandelure is one of the Pokemon Karumi just recently caught. When Karumi got to know about Chandelure, she literally was rushing through Unova to the Celestial Tower (where Karumi suddenly felt like she came home, lol) and caught a Litwick. Then she eagerly trained it until it finally became a Chandelure. Irrlicht itself doesn't really care about Karumi or anything else, it simply seems to be glad that someone feeds it which might be the only reason why it didn't burn Karumi yet as well. It only follows Karumi's orders when it's fed up; if Karumi sends it out hungry, it still will battle but most probably disobey her orders out of defiance.

:bulletpink:Morbia (Gothorita):
Meaning of Nickname: "Hypnomorba" is the German name of Gothorita.
Morbia was also caught in Unova and is the newest member of the team. Karumi came, saw and caught it. Morbia didn't resist and still enjoys the new companionship. For an unknown reason, she admires Karumi (it might be because of Karumi's psychic abilities) and sometimes if she's out of her Pokeball, she even imitates her trainer. Despite that, Morbia likes to appear cute and even tries to be moe sometimes. She takes care of her teammates like a big loving sister as well. In battle, she's doing her best but since she is not too well trained yet, she probably is the weakest member of the team.

:bulletgreen:FouFou (Whimiscott)
Meaning of Nickname: "Foufou" is the french translation for "rash", which is refering to FouFou's nature. However, Karumi doesn't know about it because she doesn't speak French and will tell you that it's refering to "fuwa fuwa", which means something like "fluffy" in japanese.</i>
FouFou at first was inhabited in an "Pokemon shelter" (like an animal shelter in RL). Karumi kind of randomly walked by, watched it and adopted it in the end because she was fascinated by it. Why? Because this Whimiscott has a split personality. It is funny, happy and cocky. Until you take its Soothe Bell from it. If you do, you will know why it ended in that Pokemon Shelter. And the cuteness of this Pokemon probably is the only reason why its past trainer didn't do anything worse than abandoning it.

:bulletpurple:Lila (Rattata):
Meaning of Nickname:Lila simply means "Purple" in German and obviously is refering to a Rattata's color.
Lila was Karumi's first Pokemon she caught a short time after her father left the family. It was attacked by a Meowth and Karumi rescued it by using her powers. After that, she raised it and took care of it and Lila decided to never leave Karumi's side. Karumi secretly trained it although her mother forbid it (she allowed her to keep Liloa as a pet, though) and Lila also was with her when Karumi left her home town and decided to become a real trainer. If it is released from its Pokeball, Lila likes to hang around on Karumi's shoulder. In battle, you should never underestimate the little rat Pokemon - after all, Karumi had shared half of her life with it.

Yeah... I think that's all. I don't think someone wants to read this but hey - I enjoyed typing somehow! 8DD

GO KARU-CHAN! :dummy:
